The wait is almost over as Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Gujarat Titans prepare to battle for the IPL 2026 title at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. While fans are eagerly looking forward to the blockbuster final, the weather in Ahmedabad has also become a major talking point ahead of the big game.

Pitch Report: Narendra Modi Stadium, AhmedabadWeather Outlook

The latest forecast brings encouraging news for cricket fans. Despite rainfall in parts of the city on Saturday, weather conditions are expected to remain clear during the final, with virtually no chance of rain interrupting play.

According to AccuWeather, Ahmedabad is expected to witness a maximum temperature of around 41°C and a minimum of 31°C on match day. While the heat is likely to be intense during the day, temperatures are expected to drop significantly in the evening, which could lead to the formation of dew later in the match.

As a result, the team winning the toss may prefer to bowl first and chase under lights, especially considering the possibility of a dew-affected second innings.

Pitch Report: Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad

The Narendra Modi Stadium has traditionally offered excellent batting conditions. The red-soil surface generally provides good pace and bounce, allowing batters to play their shots freely from the outset.

Over the course of IPL 2026, several high-scoring matches have been witnessed at the venue, with totals in excess of 200 proving common. Teams batting first have often looked to push beyond the 210-run mark to stay ahead of the game.

While fast bowlers can extract some movement with the new ball, the surface tends to become easier for batting as the innings progresses. Spinners may also find it difficult to grip the ball if dew becomes a factor in the second innings.

Weather Outlook

The weather forecast for the last 10 days suggests that Ahmedabad is unlikely to witness any significant rainfall on Sunday evening. Barring an unexpected change in conditions, the IPL 2026 final is expected to proceed without any weather-related interruptions.

With clear skies, a batting-friendly pitch and two strong teams in action, all signs point towards an entertaining and uninterrupted contest between RCB and GT in Ahmedabad.
