Fifteen-year-old batting sensation Vaibhav Sooryavanshi has been handed his India debut in the second T20I against England at Old Trafford, becoming one of the youngest cricketers to represent the country at the international level.
The youngster replaced senior opener Sanju Samson in India’s playing XI. While announcing the team at the toss, captain Shreyas Iyer confirmed Vaibhav’s inclusion but did not specify the reason behind Samson’s absence.
“Vaibhav Sooryavanshi comes into the side,” Iyer said at the toss, without elaborating on Samson’s omission.
