India ‘A’ wicketkeeper-batter N Jagadeesan produced a scintillating batting display against the United States of America in a T20 World Cup 2026 warm-up match in Mumbai on Monday, powering the hosts to a commanding 238/3 in 20 overs.
Opening the innings, Jagadeesan stitched a brisk 43-run stand with Priyansh Arya inside the first four overs. Arya set the tone with a quick 28 off 13 balls before being dismissed.
Jagadeesan then found a solid partner in Tilak Varma, who marked his return from injury with a fluent knock. The duo added 113 runs for the second wicket, taking the innings into overdrive. Tilak, part of India’s T20 World Cup 2026 squad, scored 38 off 24 balls before departing.
Jagadeesan, however, continued to dominate the bowling attack, bringing up a superb 104 off 55 deliveries, an innings laced with 11 fours and four sixes, showcasing both timing and power.
Skipper Ayush Badoni provided the finishing touches with a blazing unbeaten 60 off 26 balls, ensuring India ‘A’ crossed the 230-run mark with ease.
