New Delhi, August 22: An all-round performance helped East Delhi Riders register a comfortable seven-wicket win over Outer Delhi Warriors in their Delhi Premier League (DPL) 2026 fixture.
East Delhi Riders produced an impressive bowling effort to bowl out Outer Delhi Warriors for 134 in 19.1 overs. Mayank Yadav, Simarjeet Singh and Ashish Meena led the attack and kept the Warriors under pressure throughout the innings.
Outer Delhi Warriors struggled from the beginning and kept losing wickets at regular intervals. Their batting line-up failed to build any meaningful partnership, leaving them in deep trouble at 68/7.
Harsh Tyagi tried to steady the innings and gave his team some hope with a fighting 36 off 33 balls. However, he received little support from the other end as the Warriors were eventually bowled out for 134.
Mayank Yadav was the pick of the bowlers, finishing with excellent figures of 3/22 from his four overs. Ashish Meena also claimed three wickets while conceding 25 runs. Simarjeet Singh supported them well with two wickets for 20 runs in his four-over spell.
Chasing 135, East Delhi Riders also faced some early trouble and lost a few wickets. However, Kavya Gupta and Vaibhav Baisla came together at the right time to take control of the chase.
The pair put together an unbeaten 71-run partnership to guide East Delhi Riders to victory. Kavya remained unbeaten on 48 off 32 balls, while Vaibhav provided strong support with an unbeaten 32 off 23 deliveries.
The Riders reached the target comfortably to complete victory, with their bowlers setting up the win before the middle-order batters finished the job.
