Virat Kohli was involved in a heated on-field exchange with Travis Head during the IPL 2026 clash between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Royal Challengers Bengaluru in Hyderabad on Friday.
The tense moment took place during RCB’s daunting chase of 256 runs when Kohli and Head exchanged a few sharp words in the middle. According to reports, Kohli responded to Head’s comment by saying, “Okay, come down and bowl some deliveries.”
A few balls later, after Kohli was dismissed, Head reportedly replied, “Mate, you got out before I even came on to bowl,” which appeared to further frustrate the former RCB skipper.
The drama continued even after the match ended. During the customary post-match handshake line, Head extended his hand towards Kohli, but the Indian batter seemingly ignored him and walked ahead without shaking hands. Kohli, however, was seen greeting several other SRH players, including captain Pat Cummins.
The incident has quickly gone viral on social media, with fans debating the fiery exchange between two of the biggest stars in world cricket.
