Kanpur, August 29, 2026: Uttar Pradesh’s promising medium-fast bowler Ayaan Akram has earned a place in the India U-19 squad for the upcoming two Multi-Day matches against Australia U-19.
The 18-year-old pacer, who hails from Saharanpur, has been rewarded for his consistent performances in junior cricket. Ayaan is currently the captain of the Uttar Pradesh U-19 team and was the leading wicket-taker in Indian U-19 cricket during the 2025-26 season, finishing with an impressive 37 wickets.
Ayaan played a key role in Uttar Pradesh’s campaign in the 2025-26 Cooch Behar U-19 Trophy, where his pace and disciplined bowling helped the team secure three consecutive victories and qualify for the knockout stage. He also made valuable contributions against Chandigarh, Chhattisgarh and Assam.
His performances earned him further recognition during the U-19 Challenger Trophy in November 2025, where he was the only player from Uttar Pradesh to be selected for the tournament.
