UP T20 League Season 4 Trophy Tour gains momentum in Lucknow; Chairman Sanjay Kapoor and star players unveil trophy

Lucknow, August 8: Ahead of the upcoming fourth edition of the UP T20 League, excitement reached new heights as League Chairman Dr. Sanjay Kapoor, accompanied by star cricketers Aryan Juyal and Sameer Rizvi, unveiled the official tournament trophy at the SR Group of Institutions in Lucknow.

Addressing an enthusiastic gathering of students and fans, the league management marked the event as part of its ongoing state-wide Trophy Tour, aimed at engaging youth and building momentum ahead of the season opener.

The fourth season of the UP T20 League is scheduled to commence on August 14, 2026, at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow. The opening day will feature a high-decibel opening ceremony highlighted by performances from musical maestro Shankar Mahadevan alongside Siddharth Mahadevan and Shivam Mahadevan, as well as celebrated singer Jasmine Sandlas.

Completed Trophy Tour Legs

The Trophy Tour has covered several prominent educational institutions across the state capital, witnessing strong engagement from students and sports enthusiasts. The completed legs of the tour include:

SR Group of Institutions: Official unveiling by UPT20 Chairman Dr. Sanjay Kapoor, featuring Aryan Juyal (Gaur Gorakhpur Lions) and Sameer Rizvi (Kanpur Superstars).
Loyola International: Interactive session featuring Aaradhya Yadav (Lucknow Falcons).
Gurukul Academy: Student interaction featuring Siddharth Yadav (Gaur Gorakhpur Lions).
Integral University (Kursi Road): Trophy display and interactive session concluded on August 8.

Upcoming Trophy Tour Schedule

The trophy will continue its multi-destination tour across Lucknow to afford students and young fans an opportunity to view the trophy up close. The official schedule for the remaining visits is as follows:

August 10, 2026

  • 08:30 AM – 10:00 AM: St. Dominic Savio College (Indira Nagar)
  • 11:00 AM – 12:30 PM: Greenland College (Kamta)
  • 02:00 PM – 04:30 PM: BBD University (Ayodhya Road)

August 11, 2026

  • 08:30 AM – 10:00 AM: LPS Shaheed Path (Ansals)
  • 11:00 AM – 12:30 PM: GD Goenka (Ansals)
  • 02:00 PM – 04:30 PM: IT College (Near Lucknow University)

August 12, 2026

  • 08:30 AM – 10:00 AM: Monte Forte School (Mahanagar)
  • 11:00 AM – 12:30 PM: Ramswaroop University (Ayodhya Road)
  • 02:00 PM – 04:30 PM: Goel Technical Institute (Ayodhya Road)

The 24-day tournament will feature six franchises competing across two venues in Lucknow and Kanpur, concluding with the grand finale on September 6 in Kanpur.
