The Pakistan Cricket Board has announced the outcome of disciplinary proceedings against Naseem Shah for breaching multiple clauses of his central contract and the board’s social media guidelines.
The PCB had issued a show-cause notice to Naseem on March 27, 2026, outlining the alleged violations and seeking an explanation. Following his response, a three-member disciplinary committee conducted a personal hearing to review the matter in detail.
After evaluating his submissions, the committee acknowledged Naseem’s unconditional apology but found him guilty of breaching contractual obligations. As a result, a fine of PKR 2 crore has been imposed on the fast bowler.
The committee also noted that Naseem has already terminated his social media advisor, who has now been blacklisted by the PCB from working with any player under its jurisdiction.
In its statement, the PCB reiterated its commitment to maintaining professional standards, enforcing contractual discipline, and safeguarding the integrity of the game.
