A routine search for a lost cricket ball in Hyderabad’s Nampally took a chilling turn when a local man stumbled upon a human skeleton inside an abandoned house. The eerie discovery was made in a property that had reportedly been locked up for over seven years.
The man, while looking for his ball, entered the deserted house and was shocked to find a skeleton lying face down on the kitchen floor, surrounded by sand and old utensils. A video he recorded of the scene has since gone viral.
Police identified the house owner as Muneer Khan, who has 10 children. According to officials, his fourth-born son, believed to be about 50 years old, single, and possibly mentally disturbed, had lived there alone. He is suspected to be the deceased.
“The bones were crumbling, indicating he died a few years ago. There were no signs of struggle or injury, so the death appears to be natural,” said ACP Kishan Kumar.
A forensic team has collected samples from the site, and a mortuary report will confirm the identity and cause of death. An inquest report is also expected later.
The incident has shocked locals, who told police the house had remained vacant while the owner lived abroad. Authorities are now trying to contact the family for more information.
