At just 14 years old, Vaibhav Suryavanshi isn’t just making headlines with his cricket — he’s winning hearts too. The teenage sensation, who lit up the IPL 2025 with the Rajasthan Royals, continues to impress during India U19’s ongoing tour of England.
While his blistering century in the 4th Youth ODI — a record-breaking 143 off just 52 balls — stunned cricket lovers, it was what happened off the field that truly showed how popular the young batter has already become.
Two young fans — Aanya and Rivaa, both around the same age as Vaibhav — drove six hours to Worcester just for a chance to meet him. Wearing Rajasthan Royals jerseys and carrying their excitement with them, the girls waited patiently to click a photo with their cricketing idol.
The Rajasthan Royals’ official X (Twitter) account shared their story with pride:
“Proof why we have the best fans. Drove for 6 hours to Worcester. Wore their Pink. Cheered for Vaibhav & Team India. Aanya and Rivaa, as old as Vaibhav himself, had a day to remember.”
In a video shared by BCCI, Vaibhav spoke about his knock and his desire to learn from the best.
“I got a lot of inspiration from Shubman Gill. Even after scoring 100 or 200, he keeps going. I had 20 overs left — but I got out playing one shot without full effort. Next time, I’ll try to bat longer,” he said.
Already a fan favorite at just 14, Vaibhav’s blend of humility, talent, and charisma is capturing attention far beyond the boundary ropes. If the cheers from Worcester are anything to go by, this is just the beginning of a very special journey.
