The Chief Minister congratulated the Uttarakhand Cricket Association for its continued efforts and contributions to the team’s success. He said the players reached this milestone through strong teamwork, discipline, and outstanding performances on the field.
CM Dhami added that the state government is consistently promoting sports and developing modern sports facilities to support athletes. He said these initiatives are aimed at helping the youth of Uttarakhand bring pride to the state at both national and international levels.
Wishing the team the very best for the semi-final, the Chief Minister expressed hope that Uttarakhand would continue their winning run, reach the final, and further enhance the state’s pride.
Match Summary
In the quarterfinal of the ongoing Ranji Trophy season, Uttarakhand dominated Jharkhand with an emphatic innings and six-run victory on Sunday. Mayank Mishra was named Player of the Match after a superb bowling performance, claiming eight wickets in the match.
Jharkhand, batting first, were bowled out for 235. Captain Virat Singh scored 47 off 122 balls, while Aditya Singh top-scored with a fighting 83 off 167 deliveries, which included 10 fours and a six.
For Uttarakhand, Jammejay Joshi returned figures of 4/46, Aditya Rawat picked up 3/39, and Mayank Mishra chipped in with 3/50.
In reply, Uttarakhand posted 371 runs, built around solid knocks from Avesh Sudha, who scored 64 off 120 balls, and captain Kunal Chandela, who added 68 off 112 balls.
