SAS Nagar (Mohali), September 1: Amritsar Soormas continued their strong batting form in the Mankind Pharma Sher-E-Punjab T20 League 2026 Powered by Punjab Kings as they posted a massive 264/5 in 20 overs, the highest in the tournament so far against Jalandhar Warriors at the I.S. Bindra Stadium, Mohali.

Captain Abhishek Sharma once again led the charge with the bat, smashing a quickfire 82 off just 36 balls. His innings included five fours and seven sixes, with three of those maximums coming in a single over against Gurvinder Singh Bhullar.

The Soormas made a strong start, scoring 79/1 in the first six overs. They lost Sahaj Dhawan early, but Abhishek joined Naman Dhir at the crease and the pair immediately put the Jalandhar bowlers under pressure.

Both batters attacked from the start and kept finding boundaries at regular intervals. Their aggressive approach helped Amritsar build momentum quickly as they added 151 runs for the second wicket. Abhishek eventually fell after playing a brilliant knock, but the Soormas were firmly in control.

Dhir continued his attacking batting and brought up a century off just 52 balls. The right-hander reached the landmark in style, hitting a huge six. He was particularly aggressive against Abhinav Sharma, taking him for four sixes in one over, which went for 33 runs.

Dhir found good support from Jashanpreet Singh as the Soormas continued to score freely in the final overs. Jalandhar finally managed to break the partnership when Sukhdeep dismissed Dhir for a superb 117 off 56 balls, a knock that included 10 maximums and seven fours.

Dhir’s knock was packed with boundaries and kept the pressure firmly on the Warriors’ bowlers. With contributions throughout the innings and a strong finish, Amritsar Soormas finished with a mammoth total.
