Delhi Capitals endured a disastrous start with the bat, scripting one of the most unwanted records in Indian Premier League history during their clash against Royal Challengers Bengaluru at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on April 27.
The Capitals lost their first five wickets in just 16 deliveries — the fastest any team has lost half their side in IPL history. The collapse shattered the previous record held by Rajasthan Royals, who had lost five wickets in 18 balls earlier in the same season against Sunrisers Hyderabad.
It marked a stunning reversal for Delhi, who had recently posted one of the highest totals of the season, only to crumble under pressure in dramatic fashion.
