Namibia produced another memorable performance against South Africa, defeating their neighbours by 18 runs in the opening match of the T20I tri-series in Windhoek on Friday.
The victory marked Namibia’s second consecutive T20I win over South Africa, after they also defeated the Proteas in their previous meeting in Windhoek last October.
Batting first, Namibia posted 163/9 in their 20 overs before their bowlers restricted South Africa to 145/9, securing another famous win on home soil.
The match, however, was also marred by a broadcast disruption, with SuperSport forced to discontinue its coverage due to technical issues at the venue.
“The broadcast of today’s T20I match between Namibia and South Africa on SuperSport had to be sadly discontinued due to poor incoming picture quality from the venue,” the Proteas Men said in a statement.
