The Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) has announced that Season 4 of the T20 Mumbai League, along with the inaugural edition of the T20 Mumbai Women’s League, will be held from June 1 to 13 at the iconic Wankhede Stadium. Both the men’s and women’s tournaments will run simultaneously.
The men’s competition will feature a blend of established international stars and emerging Mumbai talent, including Suryakumar Yadav, Shreyas Iyer, Ajinkya Rahane, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Shivam Dube, Sarfaraz Khan, and Shardul Thakur, among others.
Meanwhile, the inaugural women’s league will showcase some of the brightest talents in domestic cricket, including Sayali Satghare, Saima Thakor, Humaira Kazi, and teenage sensation Ira Jadhav, who emerged as the costliest player at the auction, alongside Sanika Chalke and Simran Shaikh.
MCA President Ajinkya Naik highlighted the league’s role in nurturing talent.
“The T20 Mumbai League has consistently played a key role in strengthening Mumbai’s cricket ecosystem and providing opportunities for emerging players to perform alongside some of the biggest names in the game. Hosting both men’s and women’s tournaments at Wankhede Stadium reflects our commitment to building a more inclusive platform and taking Mumbai cricket to a wider audience,” he said.
Rajdip Gupta, Chairman of the League Governing Council, emphasised the exposure the tournament offers.
“Playing at the iconic Wankhede Stadium will be a landmark moment for many young cricketers. With live telecast and streaming, players will gain valuable nationwide exposure, while fans can expect an exciting and high-quality brand of cricket,” he stated.
All matches will be broadcast live on Star Sports Network and streamed on JioHotstar.
