American influencer IShowSpeed has gone viral on social media after a clip showed him praising Virat Kohli while taking a cheeky dig at Babar Azam during a casual game of street cricket.
In the video, Speed watched his friend fail to connect with a shot before mocking him with a reference to Babar.
“Bro, what was that? That’s Babar Azam stuff, bro,” he joked.
Moments later, Speed took strike himself and smashed a boundary, celebrating with a leap and a shoutout to Kohli.
“Virat Kohli baby. Shoutout to my homie Virat Kohli,” he said.
Speed has long been an admirer of Kohli. He travelled to India during the 2023 ODI World Cup, attended the India vs Pakistan clash, and even met Jay Shah. Although he didn’t get a chance to meet Kohli, he has consistently shown support for the Indian superstar.
He had also reacted emotionally to Kohli’s Test retirement earlier this year, expressing disappointment over legends stepping away from the game.
Meanwhile, Kohli continues to shine in IPL 2026 for Royal Challengers Bengaluru, scoring 328 runs in seven matches at a strike rate of 163.18 and an average of 54.67.
On the other hand, Babar is in fine form in the Pakistan Super League, currently the second-highest run-scorer with 485 runs in nine matches at an impressive average of 80.83. Despite the viral jab, the Pakistan skipper remains one of the most consistent performers in world cricket and continues to be compared with Kohli across formats.
