IPL 2026 Playoff Tickets: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has officially announced the ticket sale schedule for the IPL 2026 playoffs, with bookings set to begin from May 20. With the league stage entering its final week, excitement around the playoffs is building rapidly as fans gear up for the business end of the tournament.
As per the official IPL release, RuPay cardholders will get early access to tickets starting May 20, while general ticket sales for all fans will open on May 21 through the league’s authorised ticketing platforms.
The IPL 2026 playoffs will be played across Dharamshala, New Chandigarh and Ahmedabad. Qualifier 1 will take place at the HPCA Stadium in Dharamshala on May 26. The Eliminator and Qualifier 2 will be held at the New PCA Stadium in New Chandigarh on May 27 and May 29 respectively. The grand final is scheduled to be played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on May 31.
With several franchises still fighting for playoff spots, ticket demand is expected to be extremely high. IPL 2026 has already witnessed record-breaking viewership, attracting over 1.1 billion viewers across television and digital platforms.
The BCCI has also urged fans to purchase tickets only through official platforms to avoid online scams and fraudulent booking websites.

IPL 2026 Playoffs: Which Teams Can Qualify?
Royal Challengers Bengaluru are currently the only team to have officially qualified for the IPL 2026 playoffs and continue to lead the points table.
Seven teams remain in contention for the remaining three playoff spots:
- Gujarat Titans
- Sunrisers Hyderabad
- Punjab Kings
- Chennai Super Kings
- Rajasthan Royals
- Kolkata Knight Riders
- Delhi Capitals
The top four teams in the points table at the end of the league stage will qualify for the playoffs.
Will RCB Play Qualifier 1?
Finishing in the top two of the points table provides a major advantage in the IPL playoffs, as those teams compete in Qualifier 1. The winner directly advances to the final, while the losing side gets another opportunity through Qualifier 2.
RCB are currently in a strong position to finish in the top two after winning nine of their 13 matches this season. If they maintain their momentum, fans could get to watch stars like Virat Kohli and Bhuvneshwar Kumar in action during Qualifier 1 at the scenic HPCA Stadium in Dharamshala.
