After dominating England U19 in the five-match ODI series, the young Indian side is set to switch gears to the longer format with the 1st Youth Test beginning today at Kent County Ground, Beckenham.
All eyes will be on India’s teenage sensation Vaibhav Suryavanshi, who turned heads with a record-breaking 52-ball century during the ODI leg. The 14-year-old opener is already a fan favourite and etched his name in the history books last year when he became the youngest international centurion, smashing a hundred against Australia U19 in a Youth Test at just 13. Now, he’ll look to carry that red-ball pedigree into the England tour.
