The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) on Thursday, July 23, announced the schedule for England’s 2027 home international season, headlined by the much-anticipated men’s The Ashes series against Australia. England will also host Pakistan, Bangladesh, and New Zealand during a packed summer of international cricket.

Men’s Ashes 2027 schedule

The five-match Ashes series will begin at Trent Bridge from June 18 to 22. The second Test will be played at Lord’s from June 30 to July 4.

The remaining three Tests are scheduled as follows:

  • Third Test: Edgbaston, July 8-12
  • Fourth Test: Southampton, July 21-25
  • Fifth Test: The Oval, July 29-August 2

England vs Bangladesh one-off Test

Before the Ashes begins, England will host Bangladesh in a one-off Test at Lord’s from May 28 to June 1, marking the start of the red-ball summer.

Pakistan vs England ODI series 2027

England’s home season will open with a five-match ODI series against Pakistan in May. The series schedule is:

  • May 15: First ODI, Southampton
  • May 19: Second ODI, Manchester
  • May 21: Third ODI, Leeds
  • May 23: Fourth ODI, Chester-le-Street
  • May 26: Fifth ODI, Cardiff

England vs New Zealand white-ball series 2027

In September, England will host New Zealand for a three-match T20I series followed by a five-match ODI series. The ODI leg will serve as vital preparation for the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup, which is scheduled to be held in South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Namibia during October and November 2027.

Women’s Ashes 2027

Alongside the men’s Ashes, England Women will host Australia Women in the Women’s Ashes. The one-off Test will be played at Headingley from June 24 to 27, followed by three WT20Is and three WODIs in July 2027.

The announcement confirms a blockbuster summer for English cricket, with the Ashes once again taking centre stage while England prepare across formats for the challenges of the 2027 World Cup year.
