For any cricketer, excelling at Lord’s is about far more than scoring runs or taking wickets. It is about earning a place in cricketing history.

Known as the “Home of Cricket”, Lord’s Cricket Ground in London boasts more than two centuries of tradition. Among its greatest honours is having one’s name etched on the iconic Honours Board—a recognition reserved for exceptional individual performances.

From Mohammad Nissar in 1932 to Kranti Gaud and Yastika Bhatia in 2026, only a select group of Indian cricketers have achieved this milestone.

India have now played 20 Test matches at Lord’s, including the historic first-ever women’s Test at the venue in 2026, dating back to their inaugural Test appearance in 1932. While many Indian greats have graced the famous ground, only a handful have earned a place on the revered boards.

Located inside the Pavilion dressing rooms, the Lord’s Honours Boards commemorate individual Test achievements—centuries, five-wicket hauls in an innings, and ten-wicket match hauls. Since 2019, ODI performances have also been recognised, creating opportunities for both men’s and women’s cricketers.

India Women created history in 2026 when they played their maiden Test at Lord’s. Kranti Gaud became the first Indian woman to feature on the Honours Board with a five-wicket haul, while Yastika Bhatia followed with a memorable century. However, no Indian woman has yet earned a place on the Lord’s ODI Honours Board, with no century or five-wicket haul recorded by an Indian player in a Women’s ODI at the venue.

From Vinoo Mankad’s magnificent 184 in 1952 to Yastika Bhatia’s historic 113 in 2026, Indian batters have produced several memorable innings at Lord’s.

Bhatia became the first Indian woman to score a Test century at Lord’s, achieving the feat in India’s second innings during the landmark women’s Test.

Among the men, Dilip Vengsarkar remains unmatched. He is the only Indian to score three Test centuries at Lord’s, including consecutive hundreds in 1979 and 1982, earning the nickname “Lord of Lord’s.”

India’s journey on the bowling Honours Board began in the country’s very first Test at Lord’s in 1932, when Mohammad Nissar claimed a five-wicket haul.

Nearly a century later, debutant Kranti Gaud scripted history by becoming the first Indian woman to feature on the bowling Honours Board after registering figures of 5/37 in England’s first innings during the 2026 Test.

Among the men’s performances, Ishant Sharma’s sensational 7/74 in 2014 stands out as one of the finest spells by an Indian fast bowler at the iconic venue, playing a pivotal role in India’s memorable Test victory.
