Led by Mitchell Santner, New Zealand registered dominant wins over Afghanistan, UAE and Canada before going down to South Africa by seven wickets in Ahmedabad. Pakistan, captained by Salman Ali Agha, edged past the Netherlands in a close opener and followed it up with a 31-run victory over USA. However, they suffered a heavy 61-run loss to India before bouncing back strongly with a commanding 102-run win over Namibia to seal their Super 8 spot.
