The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) has officially confirmed Dubai and Abu Dhabi as the host cities for the T20 Asia Cup 2025, scheduled from September 9 to 28. All matches will begin at 6 PM UAE time, which translates to 7:30 PM IST, ensuring prime-time coverage for Indian audiences.
Over the course of the 19-day tournament, a total of 19 matches will be played. In a rare scheduling overlap, September 15 will feature two matches: UAE vs Oman at 4:30 PM local time (6 PM IST), followed by Sri Lanka vs Hong Kong at the regular 7:30 PM IST, leading to a partial overlap between the two games.
India’s group stage fixtures are as follows:
- September 10 vs UAE
- September 14 vs Pakistan
- September 19 vs Oman
Should India and Pakistan finish among the top two in their group, they are slated to meet again in the Super 4 stage on September 21. The scheduling of India’s remaining Super 4 matches will be determined based on the final league standings.
ACC President Mohsin Naqvi, while announcing the schedule, said:
“ACC T20 Asia Cup venues and match timings are out! Looking forward to packed stadiums and some truly breath-taking encounters.”
The ACC, in an official statement, added:
“With top Asian cricketing nations set to battle it out in one of the most anticipated tournaments of the year, the announcement marks a major step forward in the tournament’s preparations. From iconic stadiums to passionate fans, the stage is set for thrilling action across the continent.”
Eight teams will participate: India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, UAE, Oman, and Hong Kong. The tournament will be played in the T20 format, and the final is scheduled for September 29 in Dubai.
