Commonwealth Games 2026 Day 5 India Schedule: India will look to build on its impressive medal haul when action resumes on Day 5 of the Commonwealth Games 2026 in Glasgow on Monday, July 27. After adding three medals on Sunday, Indian athletes will compete in at least seven medal events, with the possibility of more if they qualify in swimming and athletics.

Weightlifting will once again be India’s biggest medal hope, with Gyaneshwari Yadav, Bindyarani Devi, and V Ajaya Babu competing in the women’s 53kg, women’s 58kg, and men’s 79kg events respectively. Protistha Samanta will represent India in the women’s vault final in artistic gymnastics, while Tejaswin Shankar will headline India’s challenge in the men’s high jump.

In para athletics, Sharmila Dhankar and Shilpa K Shyla will compete in the women’s shot put F57 final, while Rakeshbhai Bhatt and Shreyansh Trivedi will aim for medals in the men’s 100m final later in the night.

Swimming will also keep fans engaged, with Aryan Nehra set to compete in the men’s 800m freestyle final. Sajan Prakash and Swatik Patel could also feature in their respective finals if they qualify from the heats.
