The IPL 2026 playoff race has become more intense as the tournament enters its final stage. With only a few league matches left, every point is becoming important, and teams are fighting hard to secure a place in the top four.
At the moment, RCB are leading the playoff race with an 88% chance of qualification. Their consistent performances, strong batting line-up, and important wins in pressure games have put them in a very comfortable position. Unless there is a major collapse in the remaining matches, RCB are expected to qualify easily.SRH are also looking like strong playoff contenders with an 86% chance. They have played fearless cricket this season and managed to stay consistent in both batting and bowling departments.
Gujarat Titans are close behind with an 82% chance, showing why they remain one of the most balanced sides in the league. Punjab Kings have been one of the surprise teams this year. With a 78% chance of qualifying, PBKS now have a real opportunity to finish in the top four if they continue their current momentum in the remaining games.
The situation is more difficult for Chennai Super Kings. CSK currently have only a 33% chance of making the playoffs. Their qualification hopes now depend not only on winning their remaining matches but also on results from other teams going in their favour.
Rajasthan Royals are also struggling with a 24% chance. After showing promise earlier in the tournament, they lost momentum during the second half of the season, which has hurt their playoff hopes badly.
For Kolkata Knight Riders, qualification looks extremely difficult. KKR currently have only a 9% chance and would need almost every remaining result to work perfectly in their favour
.Delhi Capitals are listed with approximately 0% chance of qualification. While they are not officially eliminated yet, their chances are almost impossible from here because of their poor net run rate and inconsistent performances throughout the season.
Mumbai Indians and Lucknow Super Giants have already been officially eliminated from the IPL 2026 playoff race. Their remaining matches will now only affect the standings of other teams. With the points table changing after almost every game, the playoff battle is far from over. One big win, a close defeat, or even net run rate could decide which teams finally qualify for the IPL 2026 playoffs.
