International Cricket Council has officially announced the schedule for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup East Asia Pacific Qualifier, where nine teams from the East Asia-Pacific region will battle for qualification to the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.
The tournament will be hosted in Japan from May 8 to May 18, with matches taking place at the Kōrogi Sports Park and the Sano International Cricket Ground.
ICC Men’s T20 World Cup East Asia Pacific Qualifier 2026: Tournament Format
The nine participating nations have been divided into three groups of three teams each.
The top two teams from every group will advance to the Super Six stage, while the bottom-placed teams will play a separate tri-series to determine the lower final standings.
At the end of the Super Six stage, the top teams will qualify for the semi-finals and final, which will decide qualification for the 2028 T20 World Cup.
