New Delhi, 28 March 2026: This season, VIDA, Powered by Hero MotoCorp. charges up the excitement of cricket with a purpose-led, first-of-its-kind initiative. Every six hit by the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) will power something even bigger. VIDA, the Title Partner of Kolkata Knight Riders, launches the ‘6 for 6’ campaign, an initiative that turns every six on the field into the expansion of India’s EV fast charging infrastructure.

Rooted in VIDA’s mission to democratise electric mobility across India, VIDA has pledged to install a 6kW fast charger for every six hit by KKR throughout the 2026 T20 season. The fast chargers will enable EV owners, and the industry at large, by accelerating adoption. This initiative builds on VIDA’s rapidly expanding charging ecosystem, which today stands as India’s leading fast-charging network, with more than 5,300 fast-charging points across 430 cities.

Commenting on the initiative, Kausalya Nandakumar, Chief Business Officer, Emerging Mobility Business Unit, Hero MotoCorp, said, “Cricket has an incredible ability to unite and inspire millions across the country. With the ‘6 for 6’ campaign, we are turning every big hit on the field into a step towards a cleaner and a more accessible mobility future. With our growing network of fast chargers and our innovative removable battery technology, VIDA is committed to building an ecosystem that accelerates the adoption of electric mobility across the country, enabling more people to experience the thrill of new-age mobility.”

Mr Venky Mysore, Chief Executive Officer, Kolkata Knight Riders, said, “The ‘6 for 6’ campaign exemplifies the potential of sport as a platform for meaningful, real-world impact. At KKR, we are committed to ensuring that our on-field moments carry significance beyond the cricket field as well. By linking every six to the expansion of EV charging infrastructure, this partnership with VIDA transforms fan excitement into tangible progress and reflects our shared commitment to innovation and sustainability for the future.”

As part of the campaign, VIDA has also unveiled co-branded fast chargers in the signature KKR colours at prominent locations. An iconic installation was recently unveiled by KKR players, symbolising the partnership between sport, sustainability, and the future of mobility.

The VIDA fast-charging network is designed to be safe, reliable, and easy to use. These chargers can power VIDA electric scooters from 0 to 80 percent in just 1 hour, ensuring that riders can quickly get back on the road. Beyond city limits, VIDA chargers are also strategically placed along key highway corridors connecting major urban centres. This growing infrastructure is helping make longer EV journeys more convenient and reliable for consumers across the country.

Complementing the fast-charging ecosystem, VIDA’s removable battery technology allows users to charge their scooters using any standard 5A household plug point, offering an added layer of convenience and flexibility for everyday riders. By linking the thrill of every six with the expansion of India’s EV infrastructure, the campaign turns cricket’s biggest moments into a powerful drive toward a cleaner, more connected electric future.
