Former Pakistan all-rounder Imad Wasim has come under fresh controversy after his estranged wife, Sannia Ashfaq, levelled serious allegations against him in a series of social media posts.
Ashfaq not only accused Wasim of infidelity but also made shocking claims, alleging that he forced her to undergo an abortion. She further sought the intervention of Mohsin Naqvi, the chief of the Pakistan Cricket Board.
In one of her posts, Ashfaq shared an image from the recent PSL auction, where Islamabad United signed Wasim for PKR 2.2 crore. She accused him of “infidelity” and even used the term “murder,” claiming to possess video evidence, while also urging fans to boycott the franchise.
In a subsequent video, Ashfaq—who divorced Wasim in December 2025—alleged that she was forced to undergo an abortion two years ago. She spoke about the physical and emotional trauma she endured, claiming she received no support from the cricketer during that period.
“With a lot of courage, I am recording this video because I want not only the truth for my children but also justice. In December 2023, I was forced to undergo an abortion. It was not my choice, and it caused severe physical and emotional trauma. During this difficult time, when I needed support the most, I was met with mistrust. I have all the evidence to support this,” she said.
Ashfaq also shared screenshots of alleged WhatsApp conversations, claiming that Wasim threatened legal action when she tried to contact him during her pregnancy. According to her, she had reached out seeking emotional support, but was instead warned against further communication.
The controversy comes shortly after Wasim announced his second marriage to influencer Nyla Raja, just two months after his divorce from Ashfaq.
